Address: 2619 Kavanaugh Blvd, Little Rock, AR 72205

We're located directly across the street from Box Turtle, right next door to Hangers Cleaners.

Parking: Street parking is available in front of the building, and there's a parking lot across the street.

Because our space is intentionally designed to maximize safety, comfort, and supervised play areas for the dogs in our care, we are not able to offer in-person tours during operating hours.

Our facility is compact, and every area is actively used throughout the day, so allowing walk-throughs would disrupt the dogs' routines and compromise their safety.

Transparency Matters to Us

We understand that transparency is important, and we want you to feel confident in choosing us. To help new clients get a sense of our environment, we provide photos, videos, and detailed information about our setup, safety protocols, and daily operations. We are always happy to answer any questions you may have about how we care for the dogs entrusted to us.

All dogs must have current vaccinations to ensure a safe, healthy community for every guest:

  • Rabies (required)
  • Bordetella (Kennel Cough) (required)
  • DHLPP (Distemper/Parvo) (required)
  • Canine Flu (highly recommended)

We are a smaller facility that focuses on one-on-one care. This allows us to provide individualized attention and tailor our approach to each dog's specific needs, rather than using a high-volume, group-based model.

Our staff has completed training through Dog Handler Academy and Pack Pro, ensuring they are knowledgeable in professional handling techniques, canine behavior, and safe, effective care practices.

We maintain a low staff-to-dog ratio, which allows for close supervision, calm interactions, and reduced overstimulation. This structure supports a consistently low-stress environment for all dogs in our care.

Yes! We encourage prospective clients to review our Google reviews to hear directly from others about their experiences with our facility.

Daycare FAQs

Every pup at Hillcrest Dog Spot enjoys a structured, enriching routine designed to keep them comfortable, social, and well cared for from morning through bedtime. While we follow consistent rhythms each day, exact times may shift based on group sizes, weather, and rotation schedules.

🌅 Early Morning: Overnight Guests

Overnight pups begin their day around 6 AM with a morning potty break followed by breakfast. After eating, they rest in their suites or crates for a mandatory 2-hour digestion period to support healthy digestion and reduce the risk of bloat.

☀️ Morning Drop-Off & Play

Daycare pups arrive between opening and 12 PM, with most checked in by 9 AM. After check-in, each dog heads outside for a quick potty break before joining their designated playgroup. Around 9 AM, playgroups begin their first structured potty rotation, followed by supervised play, socialization, and enrichment activities.

🌙 Midday Routine

Late morning potty breaks typically occur around 11 AM before all dogs settle in for naptime at 12 PM. This midday rest helps pups recharge for an active, positive afternoon.

🎾 Afternoon Play & Pickup

At approximately 2 PM, dogs wake from naptime, go out for a potty break, and then rotate back into their afternoon playgroups. Pickup begins after 2 PM and continues through closing.

Note: While we have established routines, timing may vary day-to-day based on the number of pups in attendance, weather conditions, and the individualized needs of each group.

We take all factors into account – size, age, and play style – because we want to set every pup up for success. Dogs will be placed where they do best, and if mid-day they decide they're better suited in a different area, we move them. Easy as that!

All playtime is supervised by our trained staff. Our facility is also fully equipped with 24/7 video monitoring to ensure a safe and secure environment at all times.

Yes. We intentionally limit the number of dogs in our facility to maintain a safe, attentive, and low-stress environment. On average, we care for between 30–50 dogs total per day, with a maximum of 35–40 overnight guests. While the State of Arkansas does not regulate capacity by square footage, we proactively uphold a low staff-to-dog ratio of approximately 1:10–1:12, which allows for hands-on supervision and individualized care—far exceeding the standards of many high-volume facilities.

Yes, we do! Your first day is completely FREE and considered a Behavioral Trial Assessment. This helps us understand your pup's personality and ensure they're a good fit for our daycare environment.

Other than perhaps a snack at lunch, we ask that you do not bring anything to daycare other than your pup on a well-fitted leash, collar, or harness.
